total rip-offs?

Oh Viva, what have you done to these kids??!

Presenting the newest boy band of the Philippines: XLR8.

So it looks like we're finally joining the hangul bandwagon? Yah, I guess so. But it looks like being original is out of the question. This is what I mean.

Kpop lovers probably know this song already. It's Sorry, Sorry by Super Junior.

Now listen to this.

The beginning or the intrumental part of the song sounds oh so familiar, right? Wait a sec, THE ENTIRE THING SOUNDS LIKE SUJU'S SORRY SORRY!!!!

I can't help but wonder if this is an outright imitation or was it just plain "coincidense". This is not the only thing I'm pissed about. Mind you, I'm not a full-pledge hater.

According to my sources, why do I sound like a gossip columnist?? the boys of XLR8 have been training for two years. If that is the case, then I am not questioning their talents. They're pretty good looking. They dance quite good. Mmm, I have yet to hear them sing live. Soooo, yeah. But my question (for the group's handlers) is, WHY MARKET THEM AS SUJU RIP-OFFS??? srzly.

As one of my friend said, creating controversy (about the artists) is one of the most effective way of making noise and getting them in the market. Oh hell yeah. SUCH NOISE IT IS! Not so long after their video was released, there's already an "Anti-X LR8" page on Facebook.

I feel sorry for the members of XLR8. They've been getting bashed pretty hard these days. Well, I guess that is showbusiness. Lovers and Haters would continue to exist. Here's my take on this one.

Get the hell out of Suju's shadow!
One song and a couple of photos that seem to resemble Suju may not be enough for people to claim that XLR8 is a total rip-off. However, if you've been a fan of Suju, you'd totally get why people are so upset.

Their trainings better pay off. I'm expecting a lot from XLR8 especially now that it looks like pop groups are making a come-back here in the Philippines. My source said XLR8 composes their own songs. Aaaah, then I do hope their next single is much better!

AJA! AJA!
