My daughter has a temperature of about 39 C or 102 F. She seems to be okay- a little fussy I guess.
We've all had a busy week. Tomorrow is James's birthday! If Mimi is doing okay, later today I might bake brownies for the occasion. Last year, I baked a cake, we ate calzones and watched Battle Royale. It was James' first birthday in 7 or so years where he didn't get harassed. It was nice to celebrate the day without a change of phone number, email or address. I hope we continue the positive trend this year!
Since we both have the day off, I'm not sure what we'll do, especially if Mimi is still rocking a fever. It's fun that we have the whole day together to celebrate him. James deserves it!
On Thursday, we went to the Pokémon Center to pick up James's birthday Tabunne. On our way there, he accidentally left his backpack on the train. Inside the bag was his limited edition DSiLL and 3DS. It was only on our way home that the bag was found and held at a station for pick up. Luckily James relaxed after the initial panic and we all had a great time shopping! I had brought my copies of White and White 2 so James collected his birthday Tabunne on my game and I will trade it over to him tonight!
It turns out that I lost our cake tin in the move. I'll have to buy one before I can make any celebratory sweets. Mimi asked for "more sleep". She's resting right now and I dare not disturb her. I'd love to make a treat for James. When it comes down to it though, we both value Mimi's health and comfort over a snack! Anyway, I can buy him yummy things and then surprise him another day with fresh brownies!
