[Takes place after episode 7x18, "The Dig", which has been incorporated into Remy's storyline. Please see the previous post for more information.]
The penance for disappearing was clinic duty. And lots of it. Remy's first day back was filled with runny noses, pregnancy scares and swollen joints.
And when there wasn't that, there was paperwork. She'd decided to go back to work because the thrill of helping with the diagnosis of the last patient had made her feel alive for the first time in six months. But now she was stuck here, leaning against the nurse's station, filling out a chart.
"We've got a multiple." The doors of the clinic were open, and Remy could hear the yell to the ER. She perked up. "Two story drop, both of them. Gun shots fired, but neither has a GSR."
Intrigued, she let her eyes wander over the clinic. One other doctor and no patients. Not right now anyway. She started towards the ER when she saw the gurneys come in. And stopped in her tracks.
Riley was there, running beside one of the gurneys, a stern look on her face. Remy was frozen just past the door of the clinic, staring, completely unable to move.
