[Filtered to draftees]

[Arumat had been looking forward to the draft, to a chance to fight, ever since he'd seen his name on that list. Not so much so now that he's learned he's on a team full of people who absolutely refuse to kill, however. It's frustrating him a great deal, and that frustration is evident in his voice as he speaks.]What do ( Read more... )

[Going to assume this comes after Yuber took Vash to rest area 5 to have a chat with Albert and Caesar on that matter.] I think for once we can agree on something.

War is not a place for stupid ideals on killing.

If they don't want to kill, they should leave the fighting to those who have no issues with it.

Good luck convincing them of that. Hopefully our strategists will succeed with one of the idiots in area 1.

[Strategists... yes, he'd seen them at the meeting.]

How are they handling the situation so far?

They still were dealing with it when I returned to area 1 to deal with the situation without interference. [And he means killing the TP members Vash knocked out.]

Hmph. I'd like to know what they plan on doing with their captives once this battle is over.

If I have anything to say about it there will be no captives remaining to worry about.

At least there are some here who have some understanding. It is far more merciful to kill them than to leave them there injured.

Mercy doesn't get you anywhere on the battlefield. It's kill or be killed-- only those who are strong enough will survive.

The mercy I speak of is a quick death rather than leaving them to their suffering and a slow and painful death of their wounds.

That much I can agree with. There's no honor in letting your opponents suffer.

It is the highest honor one can give to anyone. Why prolong their suffering when they have suffered enough as it is?

And at least give them the honor of dying in combat rather than bleeding to death on the battlefield.
