Patchouli looked up at her new home. She considered what she had to do -- decorate. She never much liked Halloween decorations. Her sisters loved them, but she grew tired of seeing them after about a week. So, how was she to go about this? She focused for a moment.
From there, she walked, maybe a little dysrhythmically, toward the table. She looked over the supplies. Speaking to herself aloud, she questioned, "What do I need... What do I need..." She wasn't sure she wanted someone to hear her or not.

Lavi was wandering around the decor table to get some supplies to decorate the office buildings. He was feeling particularly creative and wanted to make something to scare the pants off of Deidara or Itachi when they walked into their offices. Though, Itachi was a harder one to scare or surprise, but it was worth a shot, right?
The redhead was torn between some fake rubber eyeballs and a plastic skeletal hand to place into a random drawer in his boss' offices, when his solitary green eye spotted a particular beauty looking over the supplies herself.
"Hey there", he said in a friendly voice to the girl. She was one of their entertainers, if he remembered his records correctly. "Need help with findin' something?", he asked.

"I guess," she said. "I need something to help anchor a banner that I'm working on." She just sounded like she was doing routine work, nothing special. "I know how big it'll be and all, but I don't have it ready yet. It'll be... up on the roof. Something to suspend it above the roof. There are other things to get to, too, but I want to have those so that I can do that once I finish things..."
Lavi listened to her as she rambled a bit and his eye started ghosting over the table of things that could help her suspend a banner. "Lessee...", he murmured as his fingerless-gloved hand hovered over the materials.
"Here ya are! Here's some nails, a hammer, and some thinner rope. That'll let it swing a bit in the wind, but not too much", he said picking up the tools for her.
"Wouldja like me to help ya set it up? That seems like a tough job to do by yourself", the secretary bookkeeper offered, giving her a friendly wink. Well, whatever a wink was considered if one had an eyepatch.
"Well, actually," she thought, taking a moment to figure out if he was blinking or winking -- and if someone could get him a glass eye or something and remove the eyepatch and make it easier to interpret, "I could use a bit of a hand. I could finish it up there..."
When he had all of the materials gathered into his arms, he stepped away from the table. "The name's Lavi and yours?", he asked in a jovial tone of voice, waiting for the other to lead the way.
"Nice to meet you," she said, nodding. "My name's Patchouli." She led Lavi back to the Secrets of the Orient, upon which the banner would be suspented.
"Nice to meetcha too, Patchouli", he said as he followed the woman back to Secrets of the Orient.
Once they got there, he grabbed one of the nearby ladders and set it up against the wall then took another one and set it up on the opposite side.
"We should do this at the same time or else symmetry geek over there will come over here and yell at us if it's not straight", he said with a chuckle. he handed her string, a couple nails, and a hammer he picked up as he kept the other hammer, a couple of nails, and string for himself. The redhead then stuck the nails, point outward, into his mouth and began to climb the ladder with one end of the banner in hand.
Patchouli nodded. "Of course." She took hold of the nails and string, carefully, in one hand, taking the hammer in the other, heading up the ladder to the roof.
