It had been a few months since she had ran from her position, her title, and her family. She just hadn't wanted to deal with it anymore, so she just took enough money to get her by for a month or so, and left it all behind.

She had searched, and looked, and been interviewed at least twenty times. No one was looking for a former Covert Ops commander, one only at the age of twenty-three, or one who inherited the position. And one who was tiny compared to most, standing at just one hundred fifty-six centimeters, and weighing only forty-two kilograms. No one believed she could take down a child, let alone some thug stealing from a shop.

That's when she heard about the Red Light District, and Light Lane looking for a new Head of Security. So she called in, and secured herself an interview.

She dressed, and hurried off to where she where she was supposed to meet who could potentially be her new employer, some guy named Sasuke. She arrived a little early, but only about five minutes, and was led to his office by an assistant, or so she assumed. She knocked, and waited.

The Light side boss leaned back into his office chair and sighed. He'd been going over his plans for Christmas, though Thanksgiving wasn't even here yet, and he was starting to wonder if they were going to pull it off. There was no way he was going to let his brother get the jump on him and if rumor was right he had something new and extraordinary planned. He was NOT going to be beaten.

Sasuke was just about to start in on his work again when he heard a knocking at the door. He frowned. He'd already forgotten about the interview he'd scheduled since he wasn't normally the one who worried about these things. Kid had been busy however so it had left the Light Boss to deal with these trivial matters. He threw a scowl at the door and in a rough voice called out for whoever it was to enter.

He arched an eyebrow as the door opened and tried his best not to bite the head off of whoever was coming in.

With one last cross of her fingers, Yoruichi turned the door know, and pushed the door open. She hoped that this didn't fall through like the others. If it did, is was back to her father with her, with a whole lot of explaining to do.

She walked in with an usual air of confidence about her, long hair falling down a little past her waist to just above the hem of the skirt she wore. Her boots clicked across the floor as she approached the desk, coming to a halt just in front of the desk, one hand placed on her hip.

"Name's Shihouin Yoruichi. I called about the Head of Security position."

Though Sasuke's head didn't move, his coal black eyes scanned over Yoruichi as she walked in. If she was going for an entertainers position she sure as hell didn't need to come see him first however when she announced her name and sought after position it really was impossible to hide the smirk that went straight to his face.

"And why," Sasuke looked over the woman before him again. She looked like she was more likely to get trampled by the patrons than keep trouble in line, "exactly should I hire you Ms. Shihouin?"

Sasuke leaned back and his chair so that it tilted a bit. The look on his face was clearly one of amusement and it practically screamed that there was no way in hell he was going to hire a practically 5 foot nothing girl as head of security.

It was that look again, even if this time it was a little more...cocky? She wasn't sure quite what to call it, but she held her ground, golden eyes locking on his, and a rather feline grin on her lips.

"Because you're not going to find someone else more suited for the position."

She was bold, something her father always told her. Even if it was followed with lecture about how she was a noble and should be more subtle. This would probably be one of those times where he would say something like that as she sat on the edge of his desk, folding one leg over the other.

"I've been trained extensively in aikido, karate, judo, and kendo. I also inherited the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Japanese Covert Ops."

Sasuke's eyebrow arched upwards into into his black bangs as the tan skinned woman sat at the edge of his desk. He'd dealt with pushy women before but it always amazed him that they could have such gall.

"Do you have proof?" Sasuke asked raising his own black orbs to meet her yellow ones. He sure as hell wasn't going to hire her with her word alone and if the proof was already in with her resume he sure as hell didn't have it. That was what Kid was for, among other things, or Aoi one of them may have had it. Hell Sasuke wasn't even supposed to be doing this interview and now it was probably just going to be a waste of his time over some pushy female.

She frowned. It was only for a moment. She was an honest person, and didn't lie. But the world was full of dishonest people, and it screwed over the rest of them. She shook it off though, and returned to her grin.

"I faxed a resume in the other day. Did you never receive it?"

"If I did it's probably still in my secretary's hands." He looked at Yoruichi with the a look in his eye that clearly said he had no interest in going over the thing. He let out a breath of air and stood from his desk . "Ms. Shihouin, while I'm sure your credentials may be in order I don't feel this job would be appropriate for you." He went around the far side of his desk not particularly wanting to get any closer than necessary to Yoruichi.

"Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do." He went to his door and held it open for her.

Great. There went yet another one. She sighed softly, slipping down off the desk strolling over to the door standing in front of him. Even with the heels on she still stood shorter them him. She paused, an idea passing behind golden eyes as she placed her hands on her hips again.

"It's a shame, you know," she nearly purred as she spoke to him. She reached out, running a finger over his tie, a long, purple painted nail trailing over the material. "A shame, because I could show you a few things, if you know what I mean."

It only took a second, her entire hand grabbing around his tie, as she spun, getting good leverage and flipping the taller male over her shoulder and throwing him into the ground. She sauntered around him after he hit the floor, placing her boot on his chest, and pressing the heel into his solar plexus ever so lightly.

"Kinda like that," she said, looking down at him with a grin.

Sasuke frowned as it seemed Yoruichi had resorted to the 'personal favor' part of being pushy. He was about to tell her off and that if she had a problem with the decision she could apply for something more fitting to her. That was about the same time he felt the tug on his tie and then the odd sensation of his stomach turning over as he went head over feet and onto the carpet. All the air that had been in Sasuke's lungs was quickly and forcefully expelled as his back hit the plush flooring and for the briefest moment Sasuke was glad he'd picked the carpet instead of the hardwood he'd been debating over.

He looked up at Yoruichi as he felt a pressure on his stomach area and what little air that was left in his lungs got pushed out even as he tried to take in a breathe. Sasuke glowered up at Yoruichi and barely registered that from this position he could look straight up her skirt. The boot on his stomach was after all keeping him preoccupied.

Sasuke however wasn't one to go down lightly even if he'd just been shown the better of. "You know, typically it's not a good idea to assault a potential employer." Had Sasuke not been concentrating more on getting his breath back he would have frowned at how strained his voice sounded. The hit had taken more out of him than he'd anticipated and he hoped no one had heard or seen what had just happened. If Itachi found out about this he wasn't going to hear the end of it even if it wasn't directly.

She arched an eyebrow, a smirk of her own decorating her face. It had been a while since she had to do that with someone, and it gave her a mild rush of adrenalin. Then again, disproving a person's misconceptions about her was always a fun task. They always forgot that the should never judge a book by its cover.

"Potential? Weren't you just showing me the door?"

She removed her foot from his chest, instead bending over and offering her hand to help him up.

Sasuke looked at the hand and actually resisted the urge to take it and pull her down to the floor....then again the idea did seem rather appealing. "...." He took a deep breathe and reached his hand up only to push Yoruichi's to the side. Like hell he was going to accept help from the same person who'd just dropped him on his back.

Sasuke pushed himself to his feet and tried not to wince as the muscles in his back along his spine fully protested. He was definitely going to need a massage later and possibly a chiropractor. At the very least the former might actually help his stress levels.

"Well...at least you can handle yourself." Sasuke said as nonchalantly as he could even as he straightened himself out.

She shrugged it off as he pushed her hand away, stepping back as he pulled himself to his feet. Some people were just to prideful to accept help, something she knew well. Nobles were famous for being prideful, arrogant bastards. Part of the reason she was running from that life.

"Handle myself and more. I was able to take out an entire guard squad of at least fifty on my own in a little less the half an hour. I'm no pushover, not in the slightest."

"I can see that." Sasuke said his voice sharp. He finished pulling himself together and looked Yoruichi straight in the eyes. "Then tell me, why after that stunt I should consider hiring you?" By the tone of Sasuke's voice it was obvious he was still sore, mainly his pride, and probably would continue to be so long after this meeting was over.

She once again settled her hand on her hip, staring straight back at him. She wasn't intimidated. It was hard to do with her. She had been faced with bigger, far more dangers, more powerful men before and taken then down and out just as easily she she had done him.

"Because, if I'm in charge, at least you know you have someone who knows what in the hell their doing."

Something she could honestly say. She did know what she was doing. Something engraved into her since she was old enough to walk.

Silence followed Yoruichi's comment as Sasuke continued to look her in the eye. Finally after what may have seemed like an eternity, Sasuke started to move back towards his desk. "If you speak with the secretary on your way out they can tell you when you're start date is." He sat back down in his chair and looked at Yoruichi again. "I expect the best from you."

She grinned when he spoke again. Finally! Something had pulled through for her, even if it took a little it of physical persuasion. Hell, she should have tried it earlier, if she had known it would work.

"Of course. I'll never give less then one hundred percent," she said with the same feline grin on her face.

She gave a small bow before turning and heading out, closing his office door behind her. Now she could finally settle and live a life of her own, instead of that her father wished upon her.
