One of my favorite TV shows is
"Castle" (Mondays @ 10 p.m. Eastern/9p.m. Central on ABC). The show follows best-selling author Richard Castle, who just killed off his most famous character and is feeling pressure to come up with a new book. After advising on an investigation with the NYPD, he meets his new muse--Detective Kate Beckett--and finds that being a mystery writer has given him skills to help solve murders. I think it's clever and funny, which is usually the type of show that gets canceled quickly. Needless to say, I'm thrilled that it's back for a second season!
However, I'm a little confused by the release of
Heat Wave by Richard Castle (September 29/Hyperion). I haven't decided if it's a brilliant marketing plan or just plain weird that a fictional character has a book deal.
And I wonder if the book is going to be recycled storylines from the show? I wish I could get my hands on a copy--if only to assuage my curiosity.
