The sand dune one was when we went camping in the desert and the kids basically went nuts on the dunes and got sand in places I didn't realise that you could get sand in. The beach shot of the Emirati women feeding at gulls was taken at a beach near our home. I love living in the multicultural, diverse city that I am in now.
