Kings of Europe. Heh. I can't stop saying that. Or grinning every time I think of the match.
* The below is a vid of how we won our 10th Champions Leauge cup - la decima (the only club to have ever done so!) and the epic celebration that followed.
* In other news, my little girl some how caught a bad gastro bug and threw up 13 times in 8 hours. The ER nurses now know me by name and we send each other New Year wishes. lol my life. She's fine now, but yeah, I've had a tough two days with running to the ER and all. Poor kid.
* To get back to Real Madrid, (obsessed much?!) here's a clip of the whole team singing below. I suspect that it's doctored, coz there is no way in hell they sound this good irl. Not that I really care, coz I love it to the point when I'm humming this non stop. This vid also features some fabulous football and shows a couple of our legends (Zidane anyone?) as well.
Also, last but not least, here's some to Ronaldo's shots. 17 goals in this single competition.
I just watched the whole match again for the third time. We came so, so close to loosing this. We equalized in the last two minutes of over time when Atletico was leading 1-0. The match was lost by Atletico and won by us thanks to Sergio in those two heart stopping minutes. Even if I know each and ever play by now, I still find myself gritting my teeth while watching this match. Looking at the final score, you can't really tell what a close, nerve wracking, drama filled match this was.
For my many non footy friends, I'm sorry that I'm cramming Real Madrid down your throat. This post is mostly for me to come back and wallow in when I'm blue. Yeah. On that note, goodnight.
