77- Under the setting sun

Random illusions, additions to the mazes and seemingly random assignments they can handle, let me change my apperance and teaching style for a day and suddenly it's the end of the known world.

How entertaining. Their heads would probably explode if I suddenly required a book for the class. Mytho was complaining about the lack of hands on things to do- let me see if I can attempt to correct that. I don't want them going crazy this early into the year. Where's the fun in that? Let's see here.. *flips through a book* This might work.

You'll have Mytho to thank for this. The maze will now be running on a fifteen minute time limit- meaning you will have fifteen minutes from when you enter to get through the maze to the classroom. If you fail to reach the class in the time given, you will be transported to a random section of the maze and given the chance to attempt it again, but with the catch that each time you fail, you lose 5 minutes So if you fail in the fifteen minute deadline, you'll be given another one of ten, and so on and so forth. If you reach zero.. Well, let's hope that doesn't happen. Also, mind the various flowers throughout the maze and do not stop to admire them. Time waits for no one, and you'd all be very smart to remember that.

Consider this your first hands-on experience.

[Oh snap. Strike's illegible, but your characters can't read it anyway, so it's kind of moot to mention it. XP I'm taking a bit of Run Lola Run mixed with The Wizard of Oz for the maze part. Lola for the entire "15 minutes to do something" in, but modified to work with HP canon without Jareth having to try using advanced time based magic, and Oz for the flowers (which are poppies). The flowers though are an illusion, though a very well crafted one. Poppies are used as a symbolisim for death or sleep, usually, and since Jareth doesn't feel like risking a bunch of stoned/high on opiates students wandering in, they've been adjusted to simply disorient/confuse people who spend too much time around them. Also, the side effects of your character reaching zero? They get transported to a random classroom. XP Not much of a punishment, but it's something.]
