In answer to your question, my parents are Trinidadian. However, my father is Indian and my mom is Spanish (Venezuelan), French, Portuguese. Trinidad is off the coast of Venezuelas and was a Spanish colony for 300 years. So the mix was the indigenous people (Arawak and Carib indians), African and then of course the Spanish. France was there for a while and so were the Portuguese. Then in the 1800s, Britain took over and brought in the Chinese. That didn't work out too well, so they brought the Indians from India over as indentured servants. And that's the Indian that my father's side is. Interestingly, the indigenous Indians are on my mom's side. So basically, my people were oppressed.

Wow, what a history. I just learned alot, thanks! "my people were oppressed." I love that u said that, I was thinking it.
Ok here's how I know Strayton-- we grew up together, literally around the corner & up the block from each other. However, he went to Catholic school & I went to public. But we all used to hang together with the neighborhood kids. Sometime when we were still young, his family moved (same town but a little further away) so we lost touch. Occasionally I'd bump into someone from his family but few & far between. Then YEARS later, Rob tells me that one of Ian's friends is originally from Congers & knows me- that my name came up & Dave recognized it. So yeah- the rest is history! SMALL FUCKING WORLD- between him & Verizon guy! ;op
What bar on Ludlow? I so don't recall that. I musta been drunk. lol
1. we're two ships that pass in the nite! will i ever meet you!? 2. head like a hole- NIN - i remember you mentiioning a NIN tee shirt in one of your posts 3. black raspberry- i see you in dark colors 4. not sure since we havent met yet, but....insomnia 5. the only "real" memory i have of you is that i *alomost* met you last year, Rob's bday weekend. I got to St Marks Ale House right after you left. other than that just talking to you on here 6. a cat 7. did u continue to live with Chris after you guys broke up or was there a break in between, and you later decided to be roommates? was it hard to live with an ex?
I have know Chris almost as long as Rob (actually they also used to live together). Chris and I briefly dated when I was still in Albany (after college) then when I came back and lived with my parents for about a year we were like best friends so we moved in together. a few months later we starting dating (lasted about a year and a half - i was the WORST girlfriend ever) we broke up (i started dating hugo), chris and I were awkward for a couple of months, then best friends again (we banded together out of a common annoyance). we continued to live together for the next 6 years up until a few months ago when he moved in with his girlfriend (she is awesome).
i dont consider living with him - "living with a boyfriend" she we moved together out of friendship rather than romantic involved.
