Al was seated comfortably across from Edward on the train. The scenery that passed them by from outside of the window was beautiful and nostalgic. However, Al's gaze remained solely on his brother's fidgeting form before him. Al was excited and anxious to get back to Resembool. It always seemed this way since the two were known to get caught up in other affairs and often the thought of returning home drifted into the background. He couldn't wait to see Winry and the others. Though, he was certain Winry would be the last person Ed wanted to confront at the moment. She would be furious, that's for sure. Not just a malfunctioned arm, but a broken leg as well. Ed really had his work cut out for him this time.

"Nervous, brother?" the younger Elric questioned with a slightly amused glance.

Oh, very funny Al. Very. Funny. Sure, you got your body back but... Heh. Winry had told him to come back when they both had their bodies back. Well, at least he wasn't that much of a- augh, now he was admitting it to himself again!

"A bit," he muttered, leaning against his left fist and muttering about Mr. Gorilla and his horrible sense of humor. "At least you won't get a wrench or twelve to the head, Al."

Stupid gear-heads.

Al smiled knowingly at that last comment. Poor Ed. Though, he aught to be used to getting whacked in the head with mechanical tools by now. Truly he should be thankful it was just a regular old wrench and not something bigger.

"True," he sighed, reaching a hand up to ruffle through his neatly trimmed hair. "Though she may decide to go a bit easy on you," he started, trying to contain a small chuckle "maybe only eleven times this round?"

...You didn't see five grown men - two being chimeras and one being Greeling - thrown out of a room with a simple whack, Al. Winry is fucking scary as hell with a wrench when she wants to be. Though he will be thankful if it's not the entire toolbox.

Ed laughed. Winry. Going easy on him. When he broke her precious automail. Her "going easy on him" would probably... "Or ten with a long-winded lecture on making sure my limbs don't get wet again." Which would be a 'blessing' in disguise, considering... Considering...

At least this wouldn't be as bad as facing Teacher the first time after trying to bring Mom back. No knives.
