So here's the planning/discussion post for the pre-battle CR log. It's pretty loose and informal.

Post will be updated/edited with what's being discussed and what people want covered.

Post in your plurk so the light kids + allies know where this is.

If the meeting is going to be handwaved, it might be better to leave it fully offscreen to avoid confusion and make the log start be more of a description of the setting and what people are up to--sort of like an Aslan post.

It's still under discussion if anyone actually wants to play it out, but I think it'd probably be more merciful on Aqua if we handwaved it?

But agreed on the description part.

I wouldn't have any objections if people did want to play it out, but then, Roxas would be more of a listener, so that's easy on me. But I think it'd be better to just handwave it, yeah.

For Roxas' part, he'll mostly listen to what the leaderly/tactician type folk have to say and just offer some tips that he thinks might help, like Vanitas being very susceptible to light-based attacks. May add more depending what Aqua/Riku/etc have to say.

Sora would offer his expertise on Ansem and Xemnas as needed, but he's not sure how applicable it would be facing MX. Honestly, Sora and Goofy's only experience on possession is beating the marbles out of the possessor until the possessed are free... Or just... exposing them to an obscene amount of light.

He'd really be looking to Aqua on this one for facing MX.

And Goofy's going to be with the group by the way.

OKAY I AM HERE.

I'm good for playing out the meeting or handwaving it, personally.

IF we're handwaving, lemme go over the details of what Riku's gonna say:

1. He's going to explain the connection between Terra, MX, "Ansem" and Xemnas. SURPRISE, EVERYONE.

2. He's going to be very clear that they're not strong enough to fight MX right now, even all of them together. He's going to mention that they should go after Vanitas as well and ensure he can't aid MX. He's going to suggest daily training3. He's also going to suggest that 2-3 people are constantly outside keeping an eye out for Terranort and they should be ready to interfere if necessary if someone's in danger. He found out that Edgeworth had his heart removed and then put back in "just for kicks" and that pisses him off

1. Roxas will quietly fistpump that for once he's not the last to know! No, not really.

2. He'll follow up on the Vanitas bit by noting some things he's observed lately (he likes to attack from above, whether it's a sneak attack or not; he REALLY REALLY doesn't like light-based attacks).

It's up to Kris to decide what Ven says on the subject, but I'd guess that the need to keep Vanitas away from him should be covered. X-blade = bad times.

Is there a good central location for them to gather and train that you know of? For ease of the party log mentioned above + (at least some of them) would probably get more out of it that way than doing their own thing.

Roxas will also bring coffee to perk people up as they train :|b

Riku will probably suggest the slums, the woods, or an abandoned warehouse in the industrial sector, basically.

I would say woods for more space? These kids can level buildings already and lol property damage.

General consensus is that we're handwaving the meeting and that the log itself is going to be about what happens after: aka TRAINING MONTAGE and One-on-one conversations for some pre-battle CR, yes?

Format's going to be done similarly to Aslan's log post.

Training Location probably is going to be the forest (unless objections or other suggestions are made.) and crash pad is possibly Riku's place (mostly the trio) or Lion's Gate.

Anyone want to actually type up the log post? You guys'd probably do a better job than me, but if no one has any particular preference to do it, I can do it. I'll type up something and show it to Jaina and whoever's on to give it the final approval before it finally gets posted.
