Yay snow.
Snow's good, school's not..but I hope the day that seniors get out of school isn't changed.
Yesterday, I made the best deal of my life with my parents. Our van is a piece of shit and they were going to trade it in and get my mom a new vehicle. Since they told me I was probably getting a new car for graduation and then decided to take that back, I said my mom should take my car and I'll get a new one. Well I'll be damned if it didn't work. I wanted an SUV but they're too expensive so I think I'm getting a black focus hatchback...not some gay, white 4 door. Hah. Focuses aren't really at the top of my list but the hatchbacks are kind of cute cars and getting a car this time isn't as big a deal...not sure why.
So this past weekend, I did something out of the ordinary when it comes to things I do. I went with LBiz on a church retreat. Carly and church kids? Surely you jest! Believe me, it was a bad idea. I can't begin to describe the horrors that went on in that van. But I'll tell you this; it involved a child poking me and songs that never end. So we were going to Wintergreen to ski and what not and that was actually fun for me because I enjoy skiing and hadn't been all winter. Then the trip back...again, suicidal thoughts ensued. So we get back to the church and I was less than prepared for what was to come. Let's see if my memory serves correctly... dinner, sermon, "games", sermon, 2 hours of sleep, breakfast, sermon. I may have left out a sermon or 2..sorry. Keep in mind, this took place in the wee hours of the morning. I won't hate on it all or anything...I just doubt I'll be doing anything like that again.
Saturday, I slept until 5. Then I hung out with Brantley and I don't know if we've ever laughed that hard without being inebriated. It was good times. Then we went to Jamie's and got inebriated. I had to go home at 12 and wasn't exactly in the best condition so I went straight to bed. So many things were going through my mind...escalators, women in strange hats...who knows what else. At least I wasn't listening to sermons explaining why christians should be having more fun because they're on the "winning team".
. I have fun not being a christian .
