Nero is a miner, not a tactician nor a military man - he thinks it's just old yet to arrive Prime Spock in 12 years time, and as far as he's concerned, time travel is still a pipe dream for the present day tech so no he's not expecting company (it is actually, except for Jim who ends up having the highest number of temporal violations on file at the DTI -- and that's a canon fact lol)

yeah the kids will have plenty of time to admire and hate each other :)
[they're sort of teens, do they count as kids still? I know that Kirk is like 12 so... yeah, young enough to scare but old enough to swear]
