My cat is trying to kill himself.
Since I am staying with my parents, my formerly inside-only cat is now inside-outside because when he gets all batshit, my dad can't handle him and puts him outside.
Last year, he decided that exploring what's on the other side of the street is a good idea, and got hit by a car. Twice. In one week. Fortunately, he survived. No bones were even broken, but he was pretty beat up and has happily stayed in the backyard since.
Until about two weeks ago, when he again decided to check out what's on the other side of the street. Since then, I have seen him cross the street SEVERAL times. I think he does it pretty much every time he goes out now.
The street is very busy.
The cat is definitely going to get hit again if he keeps doing this.
I don't know what to do. I want him to stay inside all the time, but he doesn't want to, and my dad hates it when the cat starts bouncing all over the house and yowling.
I wish I had one of those fat lazy cats who never did anything ever, instead of my rambunctious little devil cat. :/
