This is so similar to many conversations I have with my mother, made me laugh out loud. I can't get on her too badly about it, though. I used to argue with her about when she got married (for the third time) because I had this concrete memory of finding out my flight home for the wedding was fogged in while standing in the living room of the place I lived in during my senior year in college. She got married during my junior year. I don't know where that memory came from, but it is not real and still when she mentions that I missed her wedding (only a little guilt there), I think it happened during my senior year.

The mind is a scary thing.

I agree! I know I have my own false memories, but come on, it's like she was completely blanking out on everything I said. I was beginning to think I sound like when adults talk in Peanuts movies to her. AM I SPEAKING ENGLISH? HOW ARE YOU MANAGING TO MISUNDERSTAND EVERYTHING I SAY SO BADLY?
