I'm going to cut to the chase and say: go nuts. Don't worry about what I might think about your characterization or plot. Just enjoy yourself, and don't concern yourself too much with my opinion.
If you read my fic to get an idea of how I envision canon, you're probably going to be somewhat disappointed because I rarely write about Sam and Dean - I tend to enjoy writing minor characters. My only real request regarding Sam and Dean's characterization is that they should both be all BAMFy. Oh, and women characters portrayed as awesome and competent is a big plus!
