Lunch in the sunshine.
I just went to Subway and got a sandwich, then took it to the park to eat it. It's 63 degrees, sunny and a bit breezy. Me and the homeless guys and two old women doing tai chi.
At first, it seemed kind of amazing that I could have lunch outside on January 20. Can't do that in Michigan, at least not pleasurably.
But then I thought about how much nicer it is to go outside and see the sun after the winter. How thrilling and triumphant it is, I survived another winter. Exhilarating.
You don't get that feeling here.
