Do bots work this way? Should I worry about it?
Google Analytics tells me that one of the MAJOR sources of traffic on my journal is the fic journal of a writer in fandom. In the last month, there have been over 90 visits to my journal from a single page of her fic journal.
I went to that page. It's just a fic she wrote - the link to my journal comes from a perfectly ordinary "I liked this fic!" comment I left.
It's just weird and puzzling. The writer and I have had some nice interactions over fic, but I don't really know her, and we aren't LJ friends. I don't think she's the one who has visited my journal 90+ times through that link. It makes me wonder if it's some bot or something, and I'm tempted to PM her to let her know about it, but I don't know if bots could even work that way, or if it's even something I should care about.
