Attn: humans of the internet. It has come to my attention that many people do not know how to use apostrophes. Especially with regard to the third person inanimate possessive pronoun.

The word "it's" is used only as a contraction of the phrase "it is". If you're using it to designate possession, you're doing it wrong ( Read more... )

You know how there's always a banner for something or other over the entrance to the Union? There was one with a grammatical error in it not too long ago (I forget what it was exactly) and I cringed every time I saw it until they replaced it with something new.
