Two unrelated things.
1. gatorgrrrl has taken down her Fic O' Fail. I have the PDF if anyone wants to see it. Art is not included.
I've had it open on my desktop for a couple days now and I just skimmed around it a bit to make sure that I was right and there really was no art included and this is the passage I came across:
“Look,” Jared said quickly, embarrassed. “You don’t have to say anything. I just…” He closed his eyes
for a moment, pushed out another breath, and opened them again. “I just wish you could see yourself
the way I do. The way Abraham does. The way those people in the village saw you today.”
Jensen ducked his head, shaking it several times. After a moment, he looked back up at Jared. “I have a
lot to make up for.”
“Like what?” Jared asked before he could stop himself. “Getting drunk and taking the neighbor’s
Porsche for a spin? You were 16, Jensen. That hardly requires a lifetime of penance.” The second the
words were out of his mouth, he regretted them. But it was too late to take them back.
LIVING WORKING IN A POOR PLACE IS PENANCE FOR A MISGUIDED CHILDHOOD. GOSH I'M GLAD ALL THOSE POOR PEOPLE ARE AROUND BECAUSE WORKING WITH THEM MAKES ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT MY OWN PROBLEMS. THANKS, POOR PEOPLE!
