I read on Sunday, for the first time ever, Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote. I've seen the movie a couple of times (albeit years ago), but I never got around to reading the novella. Anyway, I was in Borders looking for something entirely different, but walked out with Breakfast at Tiffany's instead (plus a couple of other items...because who goes to a book store and only buys one thing? Not me).
I adore Capote's writing style, and I really need to find time to read all his short stories. If you've only seen the movie and never read the book, the book is much better in my opinion (although Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly is absolutely fabulous)...there are many more layers to the characters, and the actual storyline is different from the film in several respects.
