MTV compares Twilight and Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Seriously, MTV? Stop. Just stop before you hurt yourself. The two are not comparable. Period. End of sentence.

All this New Moon madness makes me want to vomit. You know what would really be horrific? -- MTV's idiotic "Gore Girls" are obviously comparing (or unsuccessfully attempting to compare) ( Read more... )

books, gary oldman, movies

I can only assume that watching New Moon is comparable to stabbing one's self in the eyes with a rusty spork over and over again. That's how I felt while watching the first one, and that only happened because my friend and I wanted to make fun of it one night while bored. And we did. A lot.

HA! Agreed!

I have to admit to never having seen Twilight. I don't plan to watch any of them, or read the books (I hear the writing is utter crap) unless someone holds a gun to my head and forces me.

Totally understandable. I can't speak for the books since I would never read them, but the movie was such a horrid, craptastic piece of junk.

It's almost worth watching just for the LOLs. If you can handle the pain of the ugly people trying to fool themselves into believing they're actually attractive, or the pathetic excuse for acting. I have friends who like this stuff, otherwise I'd say anyone who likes it deserves to be whacked upside the head. In fact, I think it should happen because maybe it'd help them!

I honestly don't know if I could sit through it, even though I LOOOOOVVVEEE making fun of crappy movies.

One of my former coworkers was obsessed with all things Twilight. She was always trying to talk me into reading the books, and she had pictures of Robert Pattinson (gag me with a spoon) all over her cubicle. She was a very nice person, but she had horrible taste in just about everything.

Haha I haven't read the Twilight books but I'm guessing this is akin to comparing Bridget Jones and Pride & Prejudice?

I think that's a perfect analogy. :-)
