Just a few thoughts here...
Day nine, Wednesday 9/19/07 and really Day ten as well
Busy day again so just a few notes here. I can't tell you how huge it is that I am hungry for something to eat several times throughout the day. I felt hungry at 9:00AM and was all smiles because of it. I did eat probably more today than I would typically eat pre-cleanse in a day.
However, I did note around 1 or 2 that I was feeling hungry and had been for a while and had just been ignoring it because I was busy and didn't want to deal with it. I don't know how long I'd been feeling hungry, but it took my stomach growling pretty loud to realize what I was doing and make myself stop and go eat. I'm really going to have to watch myself on that so I don't fall back into a non-eating pattern again.
Anyway, I had fruit for breakfast (next time though please remind me that I do not actually like to eat oranges all that much, lol), salad with seeds for lunch and veggies with a bit of olive oil and garlic at dinner time. Also I had some fruit in between for snacks. Pre-cleanse I would've been good with the veggies and maybe some fresh bread at dinner and coffee in the morning and that's it all day, so this is a tremendous improvement.
I still haven't brought back in coffee, tea or the occasional cheese that I typically eat. No beer. No junk at all, but I'm not a big junk food eater anyway.
Energy was a little higher, but I still would have fallen asleep early had I not been in the car until almost 1:00AM.
I am writing this on Thursday since I won't be here tomorrow and today I had that pita bread and hummus that I've been craving for lunch, but otherwise eating pretty much the same-fruit, salad, water. Friday we are driving 14 hours, so I may try coffee again on the drive and that night, we'll be at my SIL's and Saturday at a festival, so it will be my day to try any crap that I may want to eat just for the heck of it. I will definitely be having a beer at least. And probably some pizza. :D But otherwise, I'll be sticking with the fruit, salad, veggies routine as much as possible. We'll see how my stomach handles it all. I just need to be sure and EAT. "Remember to eat" needs to be mantra. I am packing yummy easy food for the drive so I have no excuse to not do so. Wish me luck!
Oh, in case anyone is wondering, I don't own a scale but I did weigh myself at my sister's house last night and I have lost 8 or so pounds since I weighed myself there just a couple weeks ago. Weight loss was never my goal here, but it is an interesting side note.
