no longer my cleanse really, but day seven nonetheless

Day seven, adding food...

Day seven, Monday 9/17/o7

Not so much a cleanse anymore as coming off the cleanse, but I'm going to keep updating for a couple more days since my goal here is to try and achieve a normal eating pattern. Feel free to keep up or not. It will probably get boring, lol. I need to do it for me though.

Day six was good with the extra orange juice, no problems at all other than being taunted by food I am not ready to eat, so today I actually added food to the mix. No salt water flush this morning so my system can adjust to taking care of things on its own again. Started the day with a lemonade still and plenty of water. Little bit later I made a cup of 50/50 orange juice and drank that and...wait for it...I ate a banana! That would be the first solid food I've put into my body since a week ago today. I ate slowly, chewed well, etc. The first couple bites made my stomach clench a bit but then it was all fine. Finished the banana, it settled, it's all good. Yay! Not to mention this is the first time I have eaten food in the morning at all in a loooong time.

Had some more orange juice a bit later and when my dh came home for lunch, I made another lemonade. Here's the kicker though: I actually was feeling hungry. At noon-ish. That's huge for me. *does happy dance*

I also noticed at this point that I was dragging ass a bit, feeling tired and blah and I hadn't felt that in the last several days at all. At least I knew that to be normal when ending the full cleanse and working back onto food but it still kinda sucked. I liked the energy I had a couple days ago.

It was also hard today in some ways to not eat other stuff since I was actually including food today. I was/am craving hummus with pita bread in a big way, but I had wanted to stick with raw foods for a couple more days, in which case that snack wouldn't work. Also, bread isn't such a good idea yet.

The lemonade helped push back the hunger a little as I wanted to wait a bit longer before eating anything else, but did plan on having a salad too at some point so when I started to feel hungry again, I went ahead and made the salad. This would be my second food item before the time of day I would normally have even been hungry pre-cleanse. I even took a picture of my salad with my camera phone to commemorate the occasion:


The salad isn't really that fuzzy; it's just the stylin' phone I used. Also feel free to admire my fancy cutlery and the chipped bowl I chose, lol. Still, I had lunch!!! And it was good. Hurt my stomach a tiny bit but then settled all right.

I wasn't supposed to eat anything else today so as not to go all crazy and fuck up my stomach, so I just kept drinking the orange juice and lots of water. Still, at around dinner time I was feeling hungry yet again. I debated on having another salad but decided not to since it was not part of My Plan. I did make a lemonade though because I didn't want to totally ignore the hunger and that helped and I was good to go after that.

Back to being tired again earlier and I was trying to finish my work this evening and ended up falling asleep at the computer around 10. Life of the party, I am. Finished up the day then having had at least a gallon of water, 3 lemonades, 3 glasses (I think) of orange juice, a banana and my salad. Go me! Day seven, complete.
