Pairing: Camteen, angsty though.
Disclaimer: If they were mine...theyd at LEAST be best friends. But sadly...
A/N: I was pondering how my next chapter of Falling into Friendship was gonna go, when this sad little beauty popped into my head. Hope you all like it. But be warned...

The last thing Cameron wanted to see as she entered her apartment was an empty living room, and her girlfriend of seven months sitting on their bed, sobbing her heart out.

"I don't wanna go yet Allison, I'm not ready, I'm not ready" she rambled over and over again through hiccuping tears. Cameron quickly but calmly rushed to the bed, hopping onto it to cradle her lovers head against her. Inside, her heart was breaking, and she was panicking. But for Thirteen's sake, she would NOT let it show.

"Rem-"

"DON'T tell me it's ok!" She sniffled, "it's not ok, its never gonna be ok. I don't want to DIE." Thirteen buried her face in Cameron's shirt, the tears welling up and pooling somewhere near both of their hearts. She cried while Cameron stroked her hair, a lone tear trailing down her own reddened cheek. Thirteen choked out a ragged sob, and clutched Cameron's shoulder with all her might.

"Don't leave me."

Cameron gently pried her off of her shoulder, lifted her up and looked her dead in the eye, "Look at me, Remy. Look." Remy faltered, but eventually obeyed, trying desperately to calm her breathing. Cameron continued, her voice breaking every few sentences or so, "Remy, It's not okay. And I know it. And I'm sorry. But you don't have to worry about it yet, I'm not- " A sob escaped her without warning, "I'm not letting you go this early on. I'm not giving up on you this easy. Not ever."

She pulled Thirteen's head back against her, tight, talking softly into her ear, "Picture yourself Remy, fifteen years from now" The brunette tensed up again in an instant, but Cameron soothed her. "No, shush, just..." another quiet sob, "Just listen alright? Picture us, exaclty how we are now. My arms are around you and I'm trying to convince you that it's me. That I'm here. And that I always will be. But you don't remember me..." she trailed off, nervously, but gulped down enough air to continue, "you don't remember me until I start singing your favorite song. And thats when you look up and realize that I'm really here. I really haven't left you, because I love you. We're gonna be sitting right here Remy, exactly as we are now, but your gonna be hugging me back. You'll be scared," Cameron is outright sobbing now, nonstop, and Thirteen is shaking against her as she finishes her tale, "but I'll be scared too. So scared, because I'll want your last moments with me to be perfect. Just like you are. I won't leave you Rem, I won't. And I don't want you to be scared yet. We still have a whole lot of years of getting old together left. We've still got eachother," She rests her chin on top of Thirteens head, breathing her in deep, "but in the end, you'll always have my shoulder to cry on."

They cried against eachother for minutes, maybe even an hour. It didn't really matter. What matters is that eventually, they stopped. They stopped and they were still breathing. They were still holding eachother together.

"Al-" Thirteen sniffled, smiling slightly through her leftover tears, " you've always been the greatest story teller."

Cameron simply looked up at her with a teary grin, nodding her along.

"When - when it happens. I want yout to tell me that story again. I think," she reached up and brushed a strand of hair out of Cameron's face, "I think that's how I'll remember."

"I love you, Rem. You know that right?"

"I don't think you'll ever let me forget."

***
When you'd cry I'd wipe away all of your tears,
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears,
I held your hand through all of these years,
You still have all of me...
