Perhaps because people are so much more interesting to watch when they interact.

Or perhaps because the only way to grow and change as a person is to meet someone new.

People interacting is no doubt more interesting, true.

Perhaps, one could argue that the passing of time makes change inevitable, socializing or not?

If you count physical change, I suppose so. Do you think it's possible to really change as a person without the help of someone else?

I think that it is difficult to find a reason to change if one is alone all the time.

True; it takes a proper mixture of solitude and companionship. Moderation, and all that.

I have no qualms about being social. However. Ultimately, a person's potential for change must be tied to the individual, not the surroundings.
