probably going to be a long update, since i had an awesome weekend. friday i went up to SR with matt, adam, and my aunt and uncle. we went out for dinner at the grizzly then went back to the house and met up with sko and did some extreme backyard pow skiing. i took sko's skis and since they are so big i just floated on top of the pow, it was so sick. saturday i had to get to barker because i had a comp. first comp ever, and it was the Freeskier Trilogy Tour. it was so much fun! there were only four girls, and i was the only one registered as a semi-pro. so i kinda automatically won, but it was awesome none the less. there were three girls registered as pros, and two of them were wicked sick. denise and ashley. ashley kept stomping back to back to back 5's. denise was getting huge amplitude and was so smooth. in the big air and superpipe she ate it hard twice, but got right back up, it was crazy. since there were hardly any semi pros registered in superpipe, they just set it up as a jam. during practice, qualifiers, and finals i got in 11 runs. that means i had to hike the pipe 11 times, that sorta sucked but what can you do. i saw a bunch of wicked sick skiers throw down their shit, so it was a good time. matt harvey (used to own newschoolers) was the announcer, he was so cool. he was like "she wants that three, we'll probably see it next run" yah i got it next run boo yah. and at the end he's like "only girl in semi-pro! you won!" haha, i won some wicked sick smith fuse goggles that i needed badly for night skiing. so im stoked about that. today, sunday, i went and saw the big air comp. there was no way i was competing in that, haha. there were only two girls competing in the entire time, so i coulda won automatically again but oh well. denise pulled the biggest steeeeeziest slowest three ive ever seen in the my life. it was sick. talked to her for a couple minutes then i had to go home. this weekend was awesome. skied some sick powder, met some of the coolest people this side of africa, and got some free shit.

and i told my mom how denise is a coach at progression ski camp, an all girls ski camp, out in BC canada, and now she is thinking of letting me go. woo!
