I noticed the other day while I was looking at a still shot of new York city just how many people go about there jobs continuously non stop from day to day they live to work and work to live. They scurry about only minding their jobs and reports and presentations for bosses and meeting the next deadline. Do they care that their city is corrupt and falling down around them? Hell... do any of us notice we swing from day to day worrying about ourselves and the others in our small circle of existence. Sure we seem to care when a blond un-caring five o'clock news lady gets on T.V and tells us how a man was stabbed to death and how a mother killed her children. Sure it’s horrible when we hear it on tv but after we see it we soon forget it. Sure we talk about it for a little while but then... it slips from our conscious mind. Wait... stop and think... Have we become so insensitive that when we hear those things and see those images they don’t sear into our mind's eye forever? Is normal for us now to hear of people dying on the daily news? some may say "yea its horrible" and others may say "I rarely notice...it wasn’t anyone I knew" to those goody goodies that say "oh I care" just stop and think about this as you said "but i do care" at least 5 more people died in the world in the same manner at that very moment... but do you care? No stoic news reporter or bold print headline informed you so you have NO idea of these deaths.
Those people in New York... how many of them hear of deaths, how many of them take place in there own state how many take place in an ally near them how much crime do they see? And they pass it all by and continue on with life. We the ever striving human race the "successful" people that have it made who better the society and help it grow all of us...What do we do about this? Some say humanity is growing and improving but I say.... you’re a frigin idiot! look around you at al the deaths the crimes the hate the suffering that we walk by every day take a good look at it and say to me Humanity is improving... no we are not we are forgetting what Humanity is we are becoming functions of society a mere number in the equation of modern achievement...
all of you that "care" when you see those people on TV just stop and think... how many more people perish in the same way how many hundreds die from hunger and from war and the hunger from money we seem to have adapted Stalin's idea quite well where one death is a tragedy and a thousand is just a statistic.
so thrive on humanity strive for higher goals let all the suffering and hate and crime thrive and grow...let us forget what being a human is... for the little black discoloration on the skin of humanity...the one we hide under achievement will grow and consume us one day and by then... it will be to late
