Title: Cold Snap

Summary: A change in weather puts a damper on Cain's day.

An unnaturally cold snap had swept through the Eastern Guild, almost overnight, and everyone had been caught off-guard. It wasn't that bad, really - much like the winters - but that it had occurred so early in the season had some folks in a scramble to check on the animals, the crops and the firewood stores.
In one cabin, there was plenty of firewood, no animals or crops, and one very bored Tin Man. It was too cold to fix the roof, though it needed to be done because there was a draft no amount of blankets could quell.
Perhaps, if it warmed up a little after the suns were high, he would go out; not that he didn't mind having to press tight against his wife at night, but, even then, both were still cold. And there was only so much they could do at night in order to stay warm.
