Title: The Knights Have a Thousand Eyes
Author: stakeaclaim
Length: ~75,000 words
Pairing(s)/Character(s): Arthur/Merlin, knights
Rating: mature
Summary: In which Arthur attempts to teach his knights, his knights attempt to woo Merlin and Arthur is definitely not jealous...

This is one of the funniest fics I've ever read. At times, I couldn't continue for laughing. The original characters make this fic hilarious, although the Merlin/Arthur romance is also utterly delightful and angsty.

Title: So They Are All, All Honourable Men
Author: seperis
Length: epic
Pairing(s)/Character(s): Arthur/Merlin, Morgana, Gwen, Uther, Gaius
Rating: explicit (sex)
Summary: Considering Arthur's future wife will be chosen less for compatibility than for her political value, Merlin may be the only marriage he'll have that won't end in bloodshed or a great deal of fortifying wine.

This is my fandom favourite. This story has it all. Set in canon verse, it's got Arthur being dense, Uther being a trial, and Merlin being a bumbling idiot. It also has Morgana and Gwen swordfighting, Arthur wanting to save Merlin's life, and everything else you'd want from a Merlin fic. Go read it already.

Title: At Our Best When It's From the Hips
Author: derryere
Length: ~12,688 words
Pairing(s)/Character(s): Arthur/Merlin
Rating: explicit (sex)
Summary: Merlin goes to a brothel to get rid of that virginity thing and runs into Arthur. From there on, it's all madness.

The summary should be reason enough to go read it. And it's as awesome as the summary promises.

Title: Loss, and the Finding
Author: shinetheway
Length: ~4,352 words
Pairing(s)/Character(s): Arthur/Merlin
Rating: explicit (sex)
Summary: The ring is cold and heavy, and there is blood, smeared and dry, along the crest.

This is a classic trope, and it's done well. There's a prequel which is well worth recommending, but really, this is the fic you want to read (and it can stand alone.) I love it. Who doesn't want Arthur to go and save Merlin?
