Title: Home Again

Summary: BtVS Season 6. Set between "The Bargaining part 1" and "Flooded." Giles returns to England to restart his life, when he learns that Buffy has come back from the dead.

Wonderful! I like that he found some way to connect with someone different, and it was good to see how he was dealing with the death and his initial reaction to Willow's news.

Thanks. I was always curious about how that phone call went, since Giles had such a different reaction on the show then what you would have expected (at least not knowing what was going to come later).

I loved the part about how Giles had to report to the Council and really didn't feel like he was a part of that world anymore. The crystal was a very nice idea too. I always wondered how the council would know if another slayer was called.

Glad you liked it. Giles mentions seeing the Council in Flooded which always seemed kind of odd to me. Sure they hired him back, but he disliked them so much that I figured that he needed a reason to see them. Also when you look at how both Giles and Wesley started out, it doesn't really give you an impression that the Council is all that in touch with the real world.

A very interesting storyline. I liked the crystal in the Council... unique idea that sounds so very like them.
At one point you have **** where you obviously meant ot insert a name and must have forgotten... the name is Sam Zabuto in case you haven't found it yet.
Yes Giles' mind would have been spinning with all sorts of ideas after that phone call wouldn't it!

Whoops. Thanks for pointing out that I didn't get rid of asterisks, I went back and fixed that. I didn't know how to spell Zabuto and figured if I put a misspelling in I'd forget about it. Looks like I forgot about it anyway.

Glad you liked the crystal, figured there must be something that tells them to start looking for a new Slayer, after all they probably don't know for sure when a lot of Slayers die.
