Joey sprawled out on the couch, mug of decaf in one hand, phone on the other. Gingersnap was gnawing on a toy bone a few feet away. Joey glanced from the dog to his phone and sighed.
He'd put this off too long. If Zach could run into Lance and come back unscathed, he could call the man. Besides over the phone there was less of a chance he'd hit him again, right?
Joey winced and took a sip of coffee. A moment later he was listening to the sound of Lance's phone ringing.
