Zach waited in Gabby outside Peter's apartment, mulling over the week's events. Maybe he had been overreacting, maybe his father had finally lost it.... but it was unlikely. And while Nathan may have been a prick, he was still his father, and he very much considered his opinion to be of value - even if he didn't remember Zachary. That was another thing entirely...
That's when he saw his bouncy little sister, and he sighed, putting the Civic into gear as she hopped into the passenger's seat.
"How y'doin', kid?" he asked deliberately, not making eye contact as he tried to inject some enthusiasm into the words.
