She wasn't really a smoker, but she knew that smoking was a social pact. That's what ended her here, takin' a smoke break long after her colleagues had all gone back inside. She wanted to meet someone. A new someone.
Layla saw a man with short brown hair and a Southern chic, and stopped him for a lighter as he walked down the street with his cigarette.
"Mind if I bum a light?" she asked brightly, holding out the cigarette like it's foreign t'her.
