Cal sped along the road to the Odessa Inn, happily blasting the local hip-hop station. He couldn't hear the words over the bass, but he had a six-pack of Sam Addams on the passenger's side and the weekend ahead of him.
It didn't hurt that he was headed out to see Zach, the only other... special person he knew, for lack of a better word.
He easily found a parking space outside the hotel, and whipped out his cell phone as he climbed the stairs.
"Hey, I'm heading up right now."
