A gold bow still stuck in his floppy brown hair, Jamie sat cross-legged in the middle of his bed, twisting his watch around his wrist, a habit he was already picking up.
The notes he'd found from Kirin so far, about 40 of them, were tucked safely inside the tin lunchbox on the bookshelf along with the rest of his spoils. But at the moment, the present he was most interested in was grinning at him as he shut the door behind himself, crossing the room.
"I've already eaten, like, half my gum," Jamie complained, leaning back against the pillows, biting back a wide smile.
