Summary: Nathan sneaks out to do paperwork behind Heidi's back, and runs into someone unexpected.

Open...to anyone who would be sulking around Nathan's office when he's not actually supposed to be there.
Three days until Christmas. She liked to say she felt better after her talk with Lance. She still felt empty and meaningless, but somehow the raw pain of missing her other half didn't hurt quite so much when she could flip open her phone and cry until her ears hurt more from his scolding than her heart did.
She bit the inside of her lip as she made her way through the office buildings of the famous lawyer whom she had ran away from only a month ago. You need to pick up the pieces and try. You have to. Pietro didn't want you to quit before, and he wouldn't want you to now.
The new secretary was across the hallway, blonde, blue-eyed, and empty headed. Her outfit was a size too small, and it almost looked like she was chewing gum...
It was a disgrace to the office really.
Wanda sighed, feeling an echo of the contempt she usually felt for the replacement secretaries, before deciding on an impulse to take an alternate route to the office. She didn't want to have to deal with that secretary, and given that she was vying for the woman's job, it wasn't the best idea to go through her in the first place.
Luckily, however, she had worked here long enough to know a few nondescript passages through the place.
She didn't anticipate that some one else might've been sneaking through the building as well, however.
