Summary: Kirin decides that he needs a change, but the change he ends up with is not what he expects.

Kirin had randomly decided one morning that he needed a change. Everything else around him was changing, so he decided that he should reflect the change somehow. It was the same logic he used the last time he did something like this, when he grabbed a random but promising box off of a store shelf and locked himself in the bathroom for close to an hour.
He followed the instructions to the letter, it should have worked. Kirin thought that maybe it would look better dry, but it just looked worse. The box promised a light brown with shimmering blond highlights. Instead his hair looked dull and gray. The kind of gray that old people get when they try to cover up the gray with hair dye. His hair was kind of brown, but mostly gray.
He sulked his way out of the bathroom and sat on his bed, staring at the instructions as if it would answer what exactly went wrong, or how he could possibly fix it to look less...wrong.
