2008...
so i start off the year with a new poem the first poem ive posted in about
8 months...wow its been awhile
i hope everyone is doing good
heres the poem
"Elegy Of A Friend"

I met someone once
we were young and the same
as our words mixed
learned each others name
and friends intertwined
As social gathering aroused
we became as close as our
skin to our clothes
I had this friend once
we were growing with some change
with our words still mixed
We'd still repeat each others name
We'd roam the streets of bethlehem
id sing to the top of my lungs
we took a trip to philadelphia
to visit friends she knew for so long
She took me to the top of the world
I took her to main street
she took me to a mountain knob
we sat on the edge and dangled our feet
I had this friend once
We knew who we were
her words became oil
while mine became water
our paths were going seperate ways
our eyes wouldnt meet for weeks or days
i made a mistake
and it changed everything
We got back together
but it didnt change anything
I knew this girl once
and i dont know her now
she doesnt know me either
i still stroll down bethlehem
and think about those times
Where we are is where we'll stay
and thats it...
Thats it.
with that being written i finally feel i have some
closure(sp?) on the situation.
