“Look at all the money,” Ban said dreamily, running the notes between his fingers. “Look at them, Ginji. Look at all!”
“What are we going to spend it on?” Ginji asked, wanting to reach out and grab it and knowing he couldn’t.
“We’re going to go to a restaurant,” Ban said. “And we are going to eat the most expensive meal on the menu. That’s what we’re going to do Ginji. Now, before any other shit happens. Right now, it’s dinner time.”
And it was.
Title: Applause
Fandom: Ayatsuri Sakon
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Summary: Sakon loves to perform.
Everyone is applauding him and Sakon can’t help loving it.
There’s nothing better than being on the stage. Nothing better than that moment where you finally finish your performance and then the applause starts. Nothing better than Ukon being heavy on his arm, grinning at him gleefully as the clapping and cheering echo around them. They bow together, as one single unit, connected through everything.
When the curtain closes, they grin at each other. Sakon bows to him, a simple nod and Ukon laughs and pats his cheek.
“They like me better, you know.”
“I know,” Sakon says. “I know.”

“Oh Jonathan,” Maddy said, her tone clearly wheedling. “There’s no need for that, is there? I’m not asking much, am I, not really? It’s just a teensy little drive … ”
“To an extremely expensive restaurant, miles from anywhere,” Jonathan sulked. “Where you doubtless want me to pay and probably have some sort of crazy half-baked scheme lurking in that deviant little mind of yours.”
“Well, maybe,” Maddy conceded. “But come on, Jonathan … you know enjoy a bit of devious thinking from time to time … ”
Jonathan scowled. Maddy grinned.

“Amy,” the Doctor said. “Why is my sonic screwdriver in my left pocket?”
“You put it there?” Amy said, sounding far too innocent.
“No, I didn’t,” the Doctor said. “I remember putting it in my right pocket. I have an excellent memory, never forget anything, it’s very useful, so why is my screwdriver in my left pocket?”
Amy was smiling. Rory was blushing. The Doctor closed his eyes.
“What did you do with my screwdriver?”
“You probably don’t want to know,” Rory said. “We washed it!”
The Doctor looked sadly at the screwdriver in his hand. Amy started to laugh.

The door clicked. There was a pause and then suddenly, Clyde and Rani and Sky were hugging her, crying out with glee. Sarah Jane struggled to hug them all back, stroking Sky’s hair and rubbing Clyde’s shoulder and clasping Rani’s arm.
“We did it!” Clyde yelled. “You saved us!”
Sarah Jane closed her eyes and smiled.
Title: Hollow Victory
Fandom: Death Note
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Summary: Matsuda sits with his coffee and thinks.
Matsuda sat in his apartment and stared at a mug of cold coffee.
They’d won. They’d beaten Kira. He’d always imagined the day as being a great one before. They’d all be happy and together and maybe they’d all go to a party together and enjoy themselves. It would be the best celebratory thing ever. And maybe Matsuda would have been brave and they’d be proud of him and everything would be so wonderful …
Only it wasn’t. And it hadn’t been. He’d been brave and it had been worthless bravery. All of it had.
It was a hollow triumph.
Title: Rare Gift
Fandom: Detective Academy Q
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Summary: Kyuu's mother is proud of him.
Kyuu always gets bouncy when he’s able to tell his mother about another case that they’ve solved. Even if it isn’t him who solved it, he’s still happy, still delighted. He triumphs in the victories of Megu and Ryu and Kinta and Kazuma just as much as he delights in his own. It’s one of the reasons she’s so proud of him. Not many people glory so honestly when they are beaten by other people. It’s one of Kyuu’s rare gifts - that ability to be glad for every triumph, to be happy about so much.
His father was the same.
Title: Pride
Fandom: Thunderbirds
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Summary: They don't celebrate the rescues, usually.
They don’t tend to celebrate their rescues with big parties. Jeff likes it better that way. Parties feel wrong to him, somehow. They are in International Rescue because it’s the right thing to do, not because they want to glory in every rescue. Yes, it’s good to be pleased with what they’ve achieved, the lives they’ve saved but to glory in it would be somehow crass.
He can’t help keeping a record though. He doesn’t tell the boys but he has notes on every case, every life saved. When he dies, he wants them to know.
He’s proud of them.

“They will!”
“What are you two doing?” Fran demanded, opening the door. “Why are you balancing empty wine bottles in a pyramid?”
Bernard missed the apex. The bottles crashed to the floor, shattering everywhere.
“Damn,” Manny commented.

Fandom: Merlin
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Summary: There's a lot of pain attached when Arthur discovers Merlin's magic.
When Arthur found out about Merlin’s magic, it was a hideously painful set of revelations.
Merlin told him everything, far more than he really needed to. It was as though the floodgates had opened and he couldn’t control himself. He told Arthur about every bit of magic, every win, every success and Arthur listened, his stomach squirming.
He’d thought he’d done so well. He’d thought that he was strong, capable. He’d defeated sorcerers and monsters and saved Camelot from her foes.
But he hadn’t. Merlin had. Arthur’s every triumph had been a lie.
Somehow, that hurt more than everything else.

Word Count: 100
Summary: Why is René here? He'll explain.
You are probably wondering what I am doing in this fanfic. Well, I’ll tell you.
You see, Versipellis thought it would be funny if Lycoris ended her challenge using me, as she did with some other ridiculous fanfic challenge of hers and Lycoris thought it was funny too. So she dragged me into this nonsense, completely against my will and shoved me in here.
“But Lycoris,” I said. “Exactly what is the triumph that I am supposed to be having?!”
“Well,” she said. “You are not in your café being tormented by everybody, are you?”
I suppose she is right.
