Roleplay, anyone?
I am extremely bored, so I thought I'd give this a shot: does anyone out there want to try doing a one-on-one Snape/Black roleplay with me? I usually prefer to RP with friends, but because I don't know anyone who's into both Harry Potter and roleplaying, that's not really an option...
This is a limited-time offer, though, and there are a few conditions:
1. We both have to use proper grammar/punctuation/capitalization while playing (including not switching between tenses), to the best of our ability. I'm not going to be a Nazi about it, just as long as there is not a blatant disregard for grammar
2. We both have to do out best to keep the characters true to canon (i.e.: not making them too nice to each other, not having them call each other by first name [without a good reason], etc.)
3. I don't mind a high rating, but no sex toys/BDSM (with the exception of maybe light bondage) - it's just not my thing
4. The nicknames "Siri," "Sev," and "Remy" (if Remus is mentioned) must not be used. Call it a personal pet-peeve, but I really hate all three of those
5. If either one of us gets bored, feels a loss of inspiration, or wants to stop playing for any other reason, the other one will understand and won't get upset (this is an experiment for me, so I'd rather not commit to anything just yet)
I feel I should also confess, just as a disclaimer, that I've never RP-ed Harry Potter before. I did, however, use to do Buffy the Vampire Slayer RP all the time - most of them are archived here, if anyone wants to look.
I'm willing to play either character, and I'm up for either real-time action/dialogue (like in the transcripts archived at the abovementioned site) or story format (where each player writes out their character's actions in paragraph form). As far as setting/timeline goes, I'm open to suggestion, though I think I would prefer either school-age or post-Azkaban - just so there isn't the problem of Snape being a Death Eater to deal with.
