001 Inventions
Wow, tomorrow's Valentine's Day already, huh?
Personally, I think making a big deal over all of the Valentine's Day stuff is a little silly. Like, that love basket or whatever they're calling it? There's no logical way that that thing can find someone their perfect match. There's no spell to put on it to make it do that, I don't think.
But, Valentine's Day has given me a great idea for a new invention for the wizarding world! You know those muggle candy hearts with the words on them? The ones that taste all chalky but everyone seems to love them anyway? Well, why hasn't someone made magical ones? If there was - or is - a spell for reading moods, and that spell was cast on the candy hearts... Well, aren't people always saying it can be hard to put feelings into words? These candies would do that on their own! All you'd have to do would be to give the candy to someone, and it'd say exactly what you wanted to say!
It might be tricky for me because of the charm work involved, but I'm willing to bet I can get it ready by next Valentine's Day!
