Pushing through

Jan 26, 2011 03:38

So, guess what happened soon after I posted here about not being able to get sick for the next six weeks?

I'll say this about the things life throws at me: I keep finding more things that aren't as impossible to get through as I thought they would be. Having a viral infection and going to work is doable, as long as you spend every free moment in bed, stay away from people while in the office and just hunker down at your desk, do what you have to do, skip lunch and then get the heck out of there and back to bed.

I got through my work week, but I haven't gotten any job applications off in about two weeks. I can't say the perfect job opening has come my way during that time either, but I need to have all my bases covered. On my day off tomorrow, I will take a deep breath and brace myself for another few weeks of craziness. And maybe after that there will finally be time for clubs and fish and travel and books and being more than a money-making-mothering-machine.

Wish me luck - or better yet: let me know if you know of a part-time job opening between Halmstad and Malmö that might suit me!
