Weekday stuff

Tonight I attended Save the Children's introductory course and got to meet some more members of the current board. (In case you forgot, I'm doing my project management internship with them this spring.) I felt very much like the new kid on the block with all of my questions and enthusiasm. The chairman of the local club made it very clear to me during our first interview that they have a very passive board, but I did see some glimmers of hope. None of that is my problem until February, though, so after I've transcribed my notes, Save the Children is going onto the back burner.

Otherwise I spent my day running medical errands. I missed getting a flu shot by fifteen minutes, so it looks like I'm going downtown again tomorrow. It's good for me to get out during the middle of the day. I often forget how vital it is to soak up whatever faint sunlight is available during the winter months and honestly I'd rather stay in bed and wait for spring.
