Intro post and background info on eleventyseven
Hi everyone! I'm Holly and I thought I'd say hello to everyone here. Now, to spread more eleventyseven love about to get more hype up about these guys.
I found out about eleventyseven when Matt Langston went to school with me at North Greenville University year before last and a little Fall 05 semester. I didn't like punk, but my friend introduced him to me and then we went to see them live before they got signed. Maybe a month or two before they were talking to Flicker Records. This was before Matt got his lip pierced. Maybe he did it for the image? Probably not, though. He's just that kinda goofy guy.
Anyway, me and a few friends went to where they were performing and they had some really crap openers. On the way, we listened to their indies album (forgot the name) and... it sounded like crap. I figured they would suck but I was already into Anderson, so there was no turning back. Had they had a better studio, I would've been more amped.
But when we got there and while they were setting up, we all goofed off and danced around under the disco lights, haha. Caleb is super cute, and Johnathon is rather shy. He just sticks around back there behind everyone and does his thing. Then... When they got on stage, BAM! I never felt so much energy! From what I knew, and could still be true, the guys were always trying to fight colds while performing because they always needed Day and Nyquil and Anti-histamines, lol. They would either get germs from touring or worry themselves, literally, sick, and practice so hard they don't get enough rest. So do pray for these guys.
Anyway, their sound is so much more filling and florid when you're there, moshing about with the throes of passion conveyed in their music. Caleb and Matt get kinda dangerous, though, twirling about they almost whack one another. They were really on a small stage. =X
The best thing was their cover of Backstreet Boys' "I Want it That Way"--They are so good with that, too! Afterwards, I only had enough after my ticket to get some stickers and pins for my jacket, and the stickers are rather amusing.

So self-deprecating, eh? Anyway, I just saw Matt semi-recently (early May) And he looked really healthy. Bright red highlights and all. He has a smile that will break your door down and he loves meeting new fans. Someone buy these kids some Vitamin supplements! Anyway, once I can get my pictures off my other computer, I'll post them here. :D
