Tofurkey Day
So today I had a really great time, kinda in spite of myself.
Last night I was at work until 1:20ish AM. I knew I'd bee in there late, but I didn't expect to be leaving that late and not have all of the stuff we needed to have done taken care of. And in the midst of working I am getting calls from my Mom informing me that her truck broke down on her way up to Tally for Thanksgiving. So she had to get towed back to Palm Bay. So yeah, I didn't get my Mom for Thanksgiving, but Phil's Mom was able to bring up the stuff my Mom had bought for Thanksgiving (aka cheesecake and a bunch of other motherly goodness). So yeah, I wasn't really in the mood for a holiday, but fun was forced upon me. And Tofurkey was pretty much delicious. I may buy myself a few more just to have on occasion. Now I can barely move because I'm so stuffed.
Tomorrow, on the other hand. Will most likely be filled with Black Friday chaos. I think I'll spend most of my day doing a whole bunch of exciting nothingness, until 3:30 that is. I'm hoping the rest of the weekend/next week goes by quickly, then all I have is exams.
So in the spirit of ThanksGiving:
I'm thankful for my car, despite the fact that it keeps giving me trouble. It gets me around.
I'm thankful (so thankful) for coffee. It keeps me up and makes me feel good.
I'm thankful for Steve, who drives me insane in all the right ways.
I'm thankful for my heated blanket in my cold cold house.
I'm thankful for my Mom. She's here for me even when she can't be here for me.
I'm thankful for Buffy. No explanation needed.
I'm thankful for my roommates and friends, who keep me me.
I'm thankful for SNES, for those boring days and allowing me to relive my youth.
I'm thankful for holidays (most times) that can change your mood, if only for a day.
I'm thankful for Family, no matter what form it finds you.
