.The City.

Congratulations! You’ve just been transported to ‘The City.’ ...Or maybe it’s not congratulations that’s in order, maybe the word should be more consolatory. Welcome to The City - You won’t be leaving. When you reach the city limit sign you’ll notice immediately that you can make out another city in the distance - go ahead, walk to it. If you choose to chance walking out of City you’ll soon discover that all you do is come back into the City on the opposite side you were when you ‘left.’

As it was stated. You won’t be leaving.

How did you get here? Well that could have been any number of ways - It could be that you crashed, it happens a lot and the Mayor is generous enough to offer housing to everyone that manages to crash-land in the city. Or it could be that you were transported- it happens. The scientists in The City have been asked to come up with mode of transportation so that people can travel to and from The City but it went wrong and ends up yanking people from their world and they end up here. The Scientist have not yet learned how to send someone back.

...Or could it be that they have and Someone keeps sabotaging the completed project?

However you got here- only one thing matters now and that is that you are here and you aren’t leaving until you get to the bottom of this.

Characters (NPCs):

The Generous Mayor - He doesn’t have a name- not a name anyone knows, that is. He’s known simply as the Generous Mayor. The Mayor is always making public announcements for ‘the good of the city.’ He’s never seen in person and seems more of a myth then an actual person. Some people say he’s shady- that he’s the reason nothing in the science lab has gone right.

Some say he’s terminally ill and can’t make public appearances, some even say it’s because he’s sick he’s destroying the completed projects. Or even still it could be that the Mayor doesn’t exist at all and the Scientist are in charge here.

The Head Scientist - He seems nice and is the person all the newly transported individuals will meet with first. He smiles a lot. Most find this unnerving.

The Chief of Police - He does his job and keeps the streets safe. He’s said to know the Mayor personally but no one can confirm if this is true or not. Don’t ask, he won’t say anything.

Medical Staff- Just that. You’ll see them if there’s a natural disaster or if you need a hospital.

The Mayor’s receptionist- She has never met the Mayor but she sits at the desk in front of his office from 9am - 5pm

The City Counsel- A group of people consisting of five men and six women. They frequently talk about a crisis but no one knows what the crisis is.

The Housing Committee- The housing committee is nice. They provide each new person with a care package. Each care package contains keys to the new apartment, several booklets about the city, and enough money to get the new resident through two months comfortably- if the money isn’t squandered.

Carpenters- They are always on duty. They work hard and fast- the City is always expanding up.

Residents- There aren’t very many. They’re nice enough but they don’t give adequate information. They will tell you two of the residents are dangerous and seem to have a very strong addiction to something.

Drug Dealers- These are not your run of the mill drug dealers. They deal drugs with effects that are entirely up to the writer’s discretion. These drugs are from the science lab and very much a failed experiment.

Cynthia Mills- She has never met the Mayor yet she goes place to place carrying out his ‘will.’ Cynthia is the second person a character will meet and she is their formal escort to the city building where the housing committee is located.
