CAMPING WAS SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! We were at South Beach Higgins Lake State Park. (I prefer Groveland..) Higgins Lake has to be the most beautiful lake i've ever been to. It is soo clear and blue. No seaweed ro mucky stuff just sand and water. It was pretty warm too. And you can walk out like 200 feet and still be at waist level. Then theres a huge drop off and ur like "WHOA IM DROWNING!!!" lol trust me i was. We went swimming everday.
Also, Colleen's cuzins were there. Karly(2) and Codi(7). Karly is a blast!! shes so fun and hyper. We watched veggie tales with her and were singing the silly songs with Larry the whole time! it was great. Also her favorite questions are: "Whats ur name?" and "Whatchu doing?" even if she knew.. she asked those like 20 times a day at least! but hey, shes cute so..lol. Codi had a crush on me.. and wasnt afraid to admit it. Colleen: "Do you like Lauren?" Codi: *Shakes head excitedly* he also wasnt afriad to show it, sitting by me at the table nad the fire, wanting to do only what i wanted and stuff. Hes a cool kid but come on hes half my age! lol
We also drove up to Houghton Lake area and went to the giftshops and stuff. We even went and saw this indian thing. It was where they had descendents from a real cheroke indian (who was also there) and they dressed up and showed us dances that they would do at a pow wow. Me and Jess did a dance with them! it was fun and i got to hold this hot guy, whos indian name was Bear,'s hand! He was 15 and really nice and according to Jess, Colleen and Natalie he liked me. lol too bad i'll never see him again. haha. I did buy some sweet earrings from them though and this fried bread that was awesome!
Friday we took a day trip and first went to Macinaw City and went- can u believe it- PARASAILING!!! IT WAS SOOOOO FREAKING AWESOME!! we went 2 at a time and me and Nat were together and colleen and Jessie were together. The guy who got us all hooked up and stuff had monkey feet.. it was funny. But yea Jim videoed the whole thing so if i get the cd then i'll show whoever wants to see. or maybe try to post it on livejournal? He took pictures too. but after that we ate then went up to St.Ignace and climbed castle rock. 170 steps.. not so bad. I ran down them and tryed to run up the best i could without tripping which i did a few times. I think its best to just get it over with and run then slowly and tiring. Then we went to Petosky and looked for petosky stones in Little Traverse Bay. I found some little ones but not like the ones i found when i went when i was 11.
Natalies mom picked us up around 3 and we got home at 9. Mainly cuz we had to stop in West Branch to go shopping and then detoured to drop off nat's mom's friend. And we stopped to get Taco Bell and Ohmigoodness! there was a guy who was honestly like 7'2!! my head only came up to his belly button (i no, i walked past when i went to the bathroom) and he had to bend down to get through the door. It was crazy! probably the tallest guy i'd ever seen. He was real thin too, like a stick! lol but yea me and Nat watched "The Wedding Singer" and "Secret Window" i actually understand secret window now.. and the wedding singer was the cutest movie ever.. i was like awwwwww and i practically cried when he sang for her on the plane! yea but then my mom and natalies mom started talking and ended up staying til like 10:15.. then i talked to my dad and got online. I talked to joeler online and now im off to bed!
Oh yea!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA BOO!!! I know i already said that and sang u a personalized song on the phone but still... her b-day was thursday by the way! Im going shopping this week and have no idea what to get her. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!! lol
